What Will I Learn at A Dance Lesson?

If you have a specific dance or style you’re interested in you can take a class that focuses on that specific style, otherwise we will teach you a variety of the popular social dances such as swing, salsa, and more.

How Should I Dress For My Lesson?

Wear something comfortable that won’t inhibit movement. Comfortable shoes cannot be recommended highly enough. We suggest a pair of leather-soled shoes for gentlemen, and a shoe with a back for the ladies. Athletic shoes don’t work well on the ballroom floor — they stick and make it difficult to move your feet smoothly across the floor.

Do I Need A Partner?

You don’t need a partner because we have lessons for singles as well as couples. All of our lessons and classes are taught at all levels from beginning to expert.

How Often Do I Need To Come In For Dance Lessons?

Most students come in at least once a week, however we also have students who are in the studio every day. The choice is really yours.

How Many People Are In Your Group Classes?

Our practice parties and group classes are designed to give you a place to dance, reach out for help improving your skills, and have fun at the same time.

How Do The Practice Parties Work?

Our practice parties take place once a week and offer you a chance to dance in a relaxed atmosphere with other students and instructors. All of our instructors attend our parties to help facilitate the most success.

What Dances Do You Teach?

We teach anything that can be danced with a partner. Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha, Swing, Quick Step, Paso Doble, Salsa, Mambo, Bolero, Jive, Hustle, and many more.

Who Will Be My Teacher?

All of the teachers at Fred Astaire Franchise Dance Studios go through a rigorous training program that can last anywhere from six months to a year. They are all full-time dance instructors and are qualified to teach all of the dances Fred Astaire has to offer.
